I don't know how to tell the difference between sss, sas, asa, Aas, and hl? Please help!

OpenStudy (perl):

sss - 'side side side' three corresponding congruent sides sas - ' side angle side' two corresponding congruent sides and an angle between them

I've looked everywhere online and it all just looks like shapes , I know where they're not congruent I just don't know how to tell which one each is

OpenStudy (perl):

It would probably be more instructive to look at some graphic images of the different cases, online.

OpenStudy (perl):

do you understand the SSS case?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope

OpenStudy (perl):

if AB = DE BC = EF AC = DF then the two triangles are congruent

OpenStudy (wcrmelissa2001):

The key to it is basically in the name itself. For SAS means the angle is between two sides ASA means the side you're looking at is between the two angles
