can someone explain to me how to find a slope?

OpenStudy (alexandrea.lane):

Label the points as x1 = 1, y1 = - 4, x2 = -4, and y2 = 2. To find the slope m of the line segment joining the points, use the slope formula y=mx+b

OpenStudy (priyar):

slope(m) =\[\frac{ y2-y1 }{ x2-x1 }\]

OpenStudy (priyar):

where (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are the two points on the line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welcome to open study

OpenStudy (priyar):

got it @natbelike ?

OpenStudy (priyar):

did u understand @natbelike ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol no/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (priyar):

did u see the formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (priyar):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okaay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont get it. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i find it?

OpenStudy (priyar):

ok..give me any two points..

OpenStudy (priyar):

??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how lol of

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of what? from where?

OpenStudy (priyar):
