help please
someone please help
is there an image of the pan?
no but the height is 3 in., length is 9 in and width is 5 in
I'd suggest you calculate the volume of the banana bread batter using a depth of 2" and then re-calculate the volume using the full 3" depth of the pan. Use the dimensions given for the pan to do this.
so it is 90 in?
Please show your work. Otherwise I have to do the problem myself.
9*5*2 = 90
Yes, (9")(2")*(5") = 90 ... what? (units of measurement ... which?) ?
90 in.3
yes, \[90 inches^3\]
Now do the same volume calculation using the full, 3", depth of the pan.
135
The volume of the full bread pan is .... 135 ... what?
135 in 3
Yes, and the difference between 135 cu. in. and 90 cu. in is .... ???
45 in3
yes, and the increase in volume of the cake due to the additional 1 inch of batter is ... ???
46 in3
right. end of problem. You OK with this?
so the answer is 46 in3
What do you think? Always a good idea to go back to the original problem statement and see whether your response makes sense as an answer.
yes
Great. Hope to work with you again later on.
thank you
