@Bill_Cipher

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the slope of the line these points make? Use the slope formula for (0,0) and (2,4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could probably find the easier by guess and check but I'm guessing you want to know how to do it the right way.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know the Slope Formula?

OpenStudy (i_love_my_nieces):

\[m =\frac{ y2-y1 }{ x2-x1 }= \]

OpenStudy (i_love_my_nieces):

@Bill_Cipher Correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep. So just apply this formula to 2 of the points (easiest points would probably be (0,0) and (2,4))

OpenStudy (i_love_my_nieces):

\[\frac{ 4 }{ 2 }\]?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes (remember to simplify 4/2=2).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the slope is 2. Do you know Slope-Intercept form?

OpenStudy (i_love_my_nieces):

No, sorry. Can you give me the answer. I have to go and shower an emergency just came up and I have to run

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=2x

OpenStudy (i_love_my_nieces):

I will come back later and learn how to do it thank you so much
