I really need this help, I only have 30 minutes to do this question... its below :(
Hey there :) In order to do synthetic division, we need to find a root, so we can divide that factor out of the polynomial. Can you find a nice easy root to start? x=1 or x=-1 maybe? Plug them in, what do you get? :)
Well, you had better do some work in order to show it. x = 0 seems pretty obvious. Why not taqke care of that, first?
Oh derp :) Yah there is no constant term lol. That would be a good place to start >.<
Okay.. would we be able to narrow it down into steps? @tkhunny
I gave you the first idea. Next, using the Rational Root Theorem, we should probably listen to zepdrix and look at x = 1 and x = -1.
quick question... what is the rational root theorem? @tkhunny
You don't need to know that. Just try x = 1 and x = -1. We can talk about the theory after your deadline. Whoops! Missed it , already.
What do you mean try it? How am I supposed to do it.. @tkhunny
Doesn't teh problem statement say "synthetic division"?
