Utilizing that proof, you can also deduce that the opposite sides of a parallelogram are congruent, since I prove that the four triangles defined by the diagonals are congruent.

Now, I think you'll have to use other information, because I think I use this theorem. So you'll have to re-think some of the steps, but it will give you a way to start it out.
