MsBrains (ms-brains):

Choose the function of the underlined word in the sentence. Wow! These drawings are (fantastic)! A.direct object B.indirect object C.predicate adjective D.predicate nominative

MsBrains (ms-brains):

@Serenity74

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C medal me

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Are you sure? Can you explain it to me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure 1 sec

OpenStudy (notshh):

Yes, it's C. You can eliminate A and B because fantastic is not an object... Can you hold fantastic in your hand? well idk you actually but I can't. The difference between a predicate adjective and nominative is the adjective describes the subject whereas the nominative tells you what the subject is. predicate adjective --> adjective predicate nominative --> noun

MsBrains (ms-brains):

@notshh Do you mind helping me with a few more?

OpenStudy (notshh):

I can try

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Okay thank you! Also, it is this one @Sweety_Face

OpenStudy (notshh):

What are the other questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go on

MsBrains (ms-brains):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and that's all?

MsBrains (ms-brains):

no there is more. like 17 I need help on.. do you guys mind?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nop

OpenStudy (notshh):

I can help out with this one, but then I have to go. Again, we can eliminate A and D. "me" doesn't describe anything. Indirect object = receives action Direct object = performs action Which do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is direct

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Okay. after the question I posted, I will open a new question. And I think it is B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur right way to go

OpenStudy (notshh):

Is "me" the one "telling"?

OpenStudy (notshh):

Me tells

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lmao

MsBrains (ms-brains):

No..

OpenStudy (notshh):

Right... it makes no sense

MsBrains (ms-brains):

So it is C?

OpenStudy (notshh):

yes

MsBrains (ms-brains):

Thanks! @notshh

OpenStudy (notshh):

You can rephrase the sentence to see it clearly: He tells me about what happened in class. "He" would be the direct object "me" would be the indirect object

OpenStudy (notshh):

and no problem!
