Geometry question help...

OpenStudy (rose4825):

@mathmale

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, if you look at the info given next to the diagram, you are given 3 sets of congruent sides. Hint: SAS stands for Side-Angle-Side, AAS stands for Angle-Angle-Side, ASA stands for Angle-Side-Angle, and SSS stands for Side-Side-Side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you want me to tell you the answer or try to explain a bit more?

OpenStudy (rose4825):

Please explain..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can do both

OpenStudy (rose4825):

Okay thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, the answer would be SSS, because you are given 3 sets of congruent sides. The other 3 answers require an angle to be given, but all you have is 3 sides. Does that help?

OpenStudy (rose4825):

But the problem also gives the information that angle B is congruent to angle E

OpenStudy (rose4825):

I think the answer would be SAS because there are two sides and an angle congruent between both triangles

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

PotatoBob how are you given 3 sides. It only mentions two.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes that's correct. @wolf1728 I know I made a mistake

OpenStudy (rose4825):

So it would be SAS?

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

I'd say it is SAS rose
