This isn't bad

OpenStudy (photon336):

@narissa you need to do this. what number to the fourth power will give us 81. then when you find this number and take it to the negative -4th power it will give you 1/81 \[x ^{4} = 81 \] \[\sqrt[4]{81} = ? \]

OpenStudy (narissa):

3 @Photon336

@Mehek14

OpenStudy (photon336):

yes so \[3^{-4} = \frac{ 1 }{ 81 }\]

OpenStudy (photon336):

@narissa taking something to the negative power means you put 1 over your answer. like 3^-4 ignore the - and just do 3^4 then you get 81 because there is a negative, or negative power we put 1/81
