Help I'm terrible with English.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you need help with?

OpenStudy (jv0408):

Why did Ezra pound reduce "in a station of the metro" from 30 lines to two? A) He wanted To emulate Victorian poetry B) He wanted to make the poem more concise and direct C) he was trying to imitate short romantic poetry D) He feared no one would read the poem if it was long

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (jv0408):

b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, it is possible that the author of the poem had many reasons so they question probably want you to pick the best answer. The most likely ones are B and C Try looking at wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_a_Station_of_the_Metro they give a pretty good explanation of the poem. Also, if you need an easy read, change the "en" in the wiki link to "simple" and it should shorten the article to simple terms. hope this helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Unfortunately, the "simple" link does not work but if you go to the analysis section it gives pretty straight forward information :)

OpenStudy (jv0408):

okay thank you. it said something about Victorian poetry in "the poem" section

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem! hope that information helps!
