OpenStudy (alex6799):

What is the graph of the rational function?

OpenStudy (alex6799):

OpenStudy (owen3):

Are you asking for the answer?

OpenStudy (alex6799):

im asking for help so that i can get a good grade

OpenStudy (owen3):

That's a good answer. no pun intended

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Alex, y ou'll need to share THE problem you want to graph, or to invent one. Otherwise your question is just too general.

OpenStudy (alex6799):

well mathmale there is a file attached with the graphs on it

OpenStudy (owen3):

Perhaps the best way to approach this is to graph it in a graphing calculator?

OpenStudy (alex6799):

i dont have one tho :(

OpenStudy (owen3):

Well you are in luck. There are many online graphing calculators online.

OpenStudy (alex6799):

ok cool..let me look one up

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Calculators are great, once you've already learned how to graph functions without one. Which problem are you interested in discussing?

OpenStudy (alex6799):

ok i found multiple but i have no idea how to use it!

OpenStudy (mathmale):

OK: I see you've posted just one problem with four possible solutions, so ignore my previous comment.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Finding and graphing the following will help you get off to a quick start: 1. any value or values of x that are not permissible in the denominator (we cannot divide by zero) 2. any "zero" or "root" of the given function. 3. any x-intercept. 4. any y-intercept. Mind looking at the given function and then finding each of these, #1 through #4?

OpenStudy (alex6799):

can you dumb that down please @mathmale
