The prism below is made of cubes which measure 1/4 of an inch on one side. What is the volume? Note: Figure is not drawn to scale. 5/2 cubic in 15/2 cubic in 15/32 cubic in 30 cubic in

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

if its a cube then the sides are all the same

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

since cubes have the same measurement onall sides

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

you are going to multiply 1/4 x 1/4 x 1/4

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

and then multiply that by 30 bevause thats how many cubes there are

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

also, i aa whovian as well. i lile your profile picture :)

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

wait stop your going to fast go slower plz

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

david tennant is my fav

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

10 and 11

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

cubes are the same length width and hieght

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

matt smith is olay too ;)

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

tennant is cool and he has the hot factor matt has the quirky factor

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

yee

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

alright back to work, so if a cube has the same length width and height you are going to multiply 1/4 x 1/4 x 1/4 to get the individual volume of each cube

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

1/12

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

now multiply that by 30 because there are 30 cubes totall

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

(i counted)

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

i dont think that it is 1/12 though

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

1/4 * 1/4 is 1/16 * 1/4 is 1/64

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

so it would be 30/64

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

simplified 15/32

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

oh ok

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

yeah :)

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

oh crap my session timed out on me ill still medal u tho

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

im sorry :/

OpenStudy (truwhovian11):

its ok
