Mathematics 6 Online
OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Graph the solutions of the following inequalities on a number line (a number line for each inequalities) and express the solution the set-builder notation and interval notation. 1) y < 2x + 3 2) \(2x - 3y \ge 6\)

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

@whpalmer4

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

ok, what's your question?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I already posted it.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

you posted the problem

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I made the second equation into slope-int form and got \(y \le -2 + \frac{2}{3}x\)

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

i need help to put this into a number line

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

are you sure you are not supposed to make a 2d graph?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

not clear to me how you fit something with two variables onto something that shows only one!

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

take look at this. this is the actual problem i just rephrased it.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

i already graphed it on a graph paper. i need help on putting each of the solutions in their number line

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

my battery is running out. i will be coming back in 5 minutes. you can continue to do what you're doing. i am coming right back. thanks :)

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

sorry, but I do not understand what a number line representation of \(y\lt2x+3\) looks like, except if you have fixed a value of \(x\).
