Maria wrote this equation to represent her family's trip to the lake. 200 = 4 × t Which situation could be described by this equation? A. Maria doesn't know the total distance they traveled. She knows they drove 200 miles before their first rest stop. She knows they drove for 4 hours. B. Maria knows they traveled 200 miles altogether. She knows they drove for 4 hours. She does not know how many miles they drove each hour.
C. Maria knows they drove 200 miles and then walked 4 miles. She doesn't know the total distance they traveled. D. Maria knows the lake was 200 miles away. She knows they drove 4 miles on dirt roads and the rest on paved roads. She doesn't know how far they drove on paved roads.
Its between B and D
believe its D
200 = Maria knows the lake was 200 miles away. 4 = she knows they drove 4 miles on dirt road's and the rest on paved roads. t + trip. she doesn't know how far they drove on paved roads
Hello Anybody help.......
@Kkutie7
since she the variable t is in the equation she knows what the end result is. that should give you a hint as to which answer to eliminate.
this is confusing
this: Maria knows they traveled 200 miles altogether. She knows they drove for 4 hours. She does not know how many miles they drove each hour. looks like this to me \[200miles=4hrs*\frac{tmiles}{hr}\] I'll write out each on for you so you can see because it is confusing.
Maria doesn't know the total distance they traveled. She knows they drove 200 miles before their first rest stop. She knows they drove for 4 hours. \[t=\frac{4hr}{mile}*\frac{200miles}{hr}\]
Maria knows they drove 200 miles and then walked 4 miles. She doesn't know the total distance they traveled. \[200miles+4miles=t\]
Maria knows the lake was 200 miles away. She knows they drove 4 miles on dirt roads and the rest on paved roads. She doesn't know how far they drove on paved roads. \[t=200miles-4miles\]
B
Yes the answer would be B.
thanks
