Throughout the history of physics, when did deductive and inductive reasoning come into play?

Deductive reasoning, also deductive logic, logical deduction or, informally, "top-down" logic, is the process of reasoning from one or more statements (premises) to reach a logically certain conclusion. It differs from inductive reasoning or abductive reasoning. Does this help a little?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I had to answer what the difference was between the two but I'm having trouble figuring out when or I guess why those types of reasonings came into play. I also have to know a physicist who used them if you happen to know that.

oh ok
