Just need some info about connective tissue in our skeletal system
Ok so I will talk a little about the joints because that is where I think it will be the easiest. So we have two types of joints we have Fibrous Joints and Cartilaginous Joints. These two types of joints will allow the skeletal system to move. There are three basic kinds of joints firstly we have fibrous, cartilaginous, and synovial. The two types of Fibrous Joints are called - sutures and syndesmosis. The two types of cartilaginous joints are called - synchondrosis and symphsis. A fibrous joint is two bones that are joined together with a fibrous connective tissue. These joints are either immovable or slightly movable. A suture is completely immovable. Such as the top of the skull. Sutures are not the stitches you get in the doctors office in fact they are similar. They are tight junctions between bones. Sutures are only found in the skull. Syndesmosis is a fibrous connection of two bones that are separated apart from each other farther than the tight fit bones of a suture. A good example is in the forearm the radius and unla are connected by fibrous connective tissue. This forms a slightly movable joint. I hope this helped if you want more information just ask!
