Please help.. confused

I think there is a formula for a rhombus, but I don't know it. It might be just A = side^2. But it looks like to me that we can find the area of ONE triangle and multiple by four. Does that seem correct?

OpenStudy (retireed):

Well the area of a rhombus is.... Area = base times height well that doesn't help very much the base makes sense but what is the height?

OpenStudy (jordanfuse2):

yes Thank you!

This is starting to help .... I read more and there is another formula called the diagonal method! Area = (d1)(d2) / 2 I can find d1 and d2 for this equation |dw:1455821089686:dw|

OpenStudy (retireed):

Essentially, as it turns out, 4 times the area one triangle is the same equation/area as (d1)(d2) / 2 .... I'll let you plug in the data and solve for the area in square inches. Good luck. |dw:1455821378789:dw|
