Help. Ok, this is a review question, but I don't get how they got the answer: The measure of one angle is 47 degrees. Find the measure of its supplement. The answer is 133 degrees.

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Supplementary angles are angles that make up 180 degrees or a straight line.....so in this case they subtracted 180 and 47.... \(\huge\color{purple}{180-47=supplement}\)

Oh, ok thank you

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

In mathematic, supplementary angles mean two angles who's sum is 180. Perhaps you may be confused with complementary angles, which means two angles who's sum is 90.
