SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!! Part of a tiling design is shown. The center is a regular hexagon. A square is on each side of the hexagon, and an equilateral triangle joins the squares. Complete the pattern around the hexagon and calculate the total area of the pattern.
there will be 6 squares and 6 equilateral triangles around the hexagon
total area = area of hexagon + 6 * area of each square + 6 * area of eqilateral triange
hmmm actaully... lemme redo that :/
Im sooo lost :(
hint: \(\textit{area of a regular polygon}=\cfrac{1}{4}\cdot n\cdot s\cdot cot\left( \cfrac{180}{n}\right)\qquad \begin{cases} n=\textit{number of sides}\\ s=\textit{length of a side}\\ \end{cases} \\ \quad \\ \textit{area of a triangle}=\cfrac{1}{2}base\cdot height\)
notice what welshfella said, you'd end up with 6 squares and 6 triangles, plus the hexagon find the area of each one of them, and SUM THEM UP, that'd be the area of the figure
have you completed the shape by adding the squares and triangles yet? got pic?
Can you just please give me the answer??
is that what the exercise is about? to just write down a random text?
because to write "anything", you wouldn't need anymore than just a pen or just to type it in, and for that... I don't see how we can be of help
