Any help would be A BLESSING. I have an attention span or concentration problem because I have difficulty remembering what I read especially when it has to do with history and government stuff so I would really appreciate the help. Choose one of the following cases: McCulloch v. Maryland, Gibbons v. Ogden, or District of Columbia v. Heller. In at least two well-written paragraphs, explain why the case is important to understanding the changing nature of American federalism.
hello there, i will help you
Thank you :)
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/supremecourt/antebellum/landmark_mcculloch.html http://www.pbs.org/wnet/supremecourt/antebellum/landmark_gibbons.html https://www.oyez.org/cases/2007/07-290 first read about each of these and select the one that interests you the most
I would say that Columbia v. Heller is the easiest to understand.
Federalism in the United States is the constitutional relationship between U.S. state governments and the federal government of the United States. Since the founding of the country, and particularly with the end of the American Civil War, power shifted away from the states and towards the national government.
so we have to figure out how that case relates to federalism
so for the first paragraph I think we should just write about the case itself and its significance, etc
could u do that? U can use the link i gave u
Ill do that:P
kk tag me when u are done :)
@ILovePuppiesLol I'm done
hold on I'm doing my own hw
I would post it here but im afraid of setting myself up for plaigerism lmao and okay :)
screenshot it and send me the link of the screenshot :)
i checked it on grammarly to make sure it was plaigerism proof
now i think u can start the second paragraph off with like, This case is important to the ever-changing American federalism because -
or something along the lines of that
Do I now write how the state was wrong to try and make rules because the national government had already made them first?
yes that is correct @ElisaNeedsHelp
because federalism is the relationship between smaller governments with the main government, you are absolutely correct, basically the relationship between district of columbia government with the US government
btw can i haz a medal >_<
Lol yes I always give medals
(: so do u think u can do the rest without me?
did ya get it
I'm trying to figure it out right now
