OpenStudy (jjcoolja12):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well the notation means h(h(10) so if we start with h(10) what do we get?

OpenStudy (jjcoolja12):

how am i supposed to know

OpenStudy (jjcoolja12):

@mathmale

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well if h(x)=6-x and you are trying to find h(10), the x from the h(x) has been replaced by 10, so every time you see x, replace it with 10

OpenStudy (jjcoolja12):

still not following you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if h(x)=5+x and you are trying to find h(6) it means that where ever you see a x you change it for a 6, therefore, h(x)=5+x h(6)=5+6 now try and apply this to h(10) where h(x)=6-x

OpenStudy (jjcoolja12):

well i know ill still be in high school for a long time i still dont follow you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

h(x) is just shorthand for a function instead of writing y=6-x you can write h(x)=6-x
