Question on what's allowed: Consider the following example - Person 1: *asks a question* Person 2: *answers it with a problem solving website link (Wolfram for example) or the homepage link of it* Person 1: *gets answer and closes post* Did person 2 did something that isn't allowed, or is it allowed but just a "defeats the purpose" type thing?

OpenStudy (aveline):

It really depends on the type of question. If someone needs help finding the answer, I would walk them through the process. If they needed to know if they were doing a problem correctly or they need to check an answer, I think that sending a link would be acceptable.

If the link directly gives them the answer, then no, if it shows the steps and givres them the answer, no, if it shows them steps on how to do the concept, yes

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

well wolfram tells you the answer. correct? even though it shows the process most will just take the answer and disregard the process. another thing is now they know the site and now can get quick, no work answers for tests and exams. so in my own opinion i feel that explaining it yourself and guiding the user is the best way to go. then after they have a better understanding they should be able to answer the question themselves. this just ensures they really understand.

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

Basically end result is, it shouldnt provide them with the answer

OpenStudy (aveline):

I agree with @rebeccaxhawaii
