Welcome to Open Study In the 1950's Texas suffered an unforgettable issue. They were hit with one of the worst droughts they had ever experienced and it changed there agriculture till even this day. There was no rain and not source of water. The ground was so dry that the ground began to crack and crumble. The agriculture was completely destroyed and farms were forced to leave and find other jobs or move to other states Hopes this helps :)
Hi, I saw this somewhere else but is this a WORLD conflict? @Mahoganie.Carson
But this has something to do with your question if you don't get this ask your teacher for help parents for help or @ someone @zaraxx knows all the answers ask her :)
:), its tough because that's such a wide topic. can you recall anything you read in your textbook? think about the headings cos they usually sum up what ur reading about
when i think of the 1950s/60s i think about the vietnam war, the civil right movement, etc. the question doesn't make much sense from over here
@Mahoganie.Carson I was looking in my book.
its okay!! have u seen anything so far? always keep an eye out for bolded text as it is usually highlights the most important concepts
Well the Vietnam war did effect texas because some texans were opposed to the war and some were not and also there was a riot at one of the colleges where a Houston policeman died.
Also after the vietnam war refugees immigrated to Texas
that's good!! i think the key is focusing on the fact that is says "world" so its not gonna be things that only affected the u.s., and the vietnam war affected more than just us
yeah if ur seeing this in ur textbook i would definitely focus on that!!
Ok, thanks!
of course!!
