Please help will medal & fan! Which value on the number line is the best estimate of the center of the data set? https://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1578500_1579000/1578591/1/559bdb04a90f7e0900b26d8ec97496d13e41a6f3/MS_IMB_1400122-113075.jpg I'm thinking 100.
Wll it cant be 100, because there are larger numbers in front
The answer would be 110
if you write all of the numbers out (x=1 number) then you would cross them out until you've reached the middle, then you would solve for the median which is 110 and you're done! hope i helped!
Hm.. Sounds like a good answer. I'll just bump this post though to get a second opinion.
Alright sounds good. If you get a piece of paper and a pencil then write out all these numbers, you'll be able to solve this yourself. Very easy to do, but it's always good to ask for help. If you have anymore questions i'll be scouting other quesitons
the number line is going by tens so if you get ride of all the lines that have less than two on them you would have 90 100 110 120 and 130 the one in the middle would be 110
but there are two numbers in the middle so you divide them and you would get your answer
yes, but if you do is write all the numbers out (Example: 70, 80, 90, 90, 100, 100, 100, 110, 110, 110, 110, 120, 120, 120, 120, 130, 130, 140) Now find the middle number and that's your answer
but some of the numbers on the number line have no x so they do not count as part of the data set
a data set is all numbers with more than two
One x = 1 of that specific number. If you have one x for 140 you get 140 as you have 4 x's for 110, so you get 4 110's
you just confused me sorry i dont think i will be much of any help now
why not
just look at my post with the numbers find the middle and you got your answer.
Hope i helped
