@johnweldon1993
OpenStudy (sweetburger):
Ok we know that 2 angles have to be equivalent because its an isosceles triangle.
OpenStudy (sweetburger):
Which 2 angles are the angles that are equivalent?
OpenStudy (barrelracing):
t and r? @sweetburger

OpenStudy (sweetburger):
yes so they both equal 2x+26. Remeber all the angles of a triangle must add up to 180.
OpenStudy (barrelracing):
ok so what do i do now?
OpenStudy (sweetburger):
Add all of your angles up and set them equal to 180. Then solve for x.
OpenStudy (barrelracing):
so 5x+2+2x+26+2x+26?
OpenStudy (sweetburger):
yes and set that equal to 180.

not exaclty sure what you mean. i added them all up and got 9x+54
OpenStudy (sweetburger):
9x+54 = 180. Solve for x. Plug x back into both (5x+2) and (2x+26) this will give you the exact degree measure of each angle
OpenStudy (sweetburger):
What are you confused about @Barrelracing
OpenStudy (barrelracing):
ok i got it. x=180
5(14)+2 = 72
2(14)+26=54
OpenStudy (sweetburger):
Looks like you did it correctly.

so m<r =54
m<s=72
m<t=14
OpenStudy (barrelracing):
@sweetburger
OpenStudy (sweetburger):
No, remember 2 of the angels are equivalent.. Also x=14 which is not an angle.
OpenStudy (sweetburger):
angles*
OpenStudy (barrelracing):
ok well how do i get the answers for those angles?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):
You already did 72, 54, 54
OpenStudy (sweetburger):
Remember its an isosceles triangle. angle R and T are equivalent.
OpenStudy (barrelracing):
ok so s is 72?
OpenStudy (barrelracing):
@sweetburger
