OpenStudy (mallorysipp234):

How do you determine this What does the graph of the set look like? x^2+(y-2)^2 <= 4 2x^2+y >= 4

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

do you know how to draw the equations if they weren't an inequality? (i.e. can you graph x^2+(y-2)^2=4 etc)

OpenStudy (mallorysipp234):

That's my issue. I need to get all of that away from the Y & graph it

OpenStudy (mallorysipp234):

I understand that the way the inequality opens whether it be greater than or less to I know which way to shade. It's just determining which line is the circle and which is the parabola

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

I c... do you know the normal form for the equation of a circle? and you do you know the normal form of the equation of a parabola?

OpenStudy (mallorysipp234):

well I know that the circle will have a ^2 y and x. And the x for a parabola is the only one ^2'd. So I can see that the first one is PROBABLY the circle am I correct?

OpenStudy (bobo-i-bo):

yes you are :P

OpenStudy (mallorysipp234):

Alright sweet :)
