difference between popular parameter and sample statistic
this, according to google A statistic and a parameter are very similar. They are both descriptions of groups, like “50% of dog owners prefer X Brand dog food.” The difference between a statistic and a parameter is that statistics describe a sample. A parameter describes an entire population.
pretty clear explanation here http://www.statisticshowto.com/how-to-tell-the-difference-between-a-statistic-and-a-parameter/
she has a lifeless voice. buttttt thanks rae jay
no not that one
one i just posted great example 20% of senators blah blah since there are 100 senators, that means exactly 20 of the 100 blah blah that is parameter (apparently) vs 20% of americans blah blah can't ask every american, so clearly a sample statistic

@Atrineas yes, even more terse and clear
whats the difference between the sample and population
the population is the whole
population is every one sample is some
right
A parameter is any number calculated from a population. but the other one is say that the parameter is just the whole pop.
go with the first one i think
i would go with A parameter is any number calculated from a population. A statistic is any number calculated from a sample.
