OpenStudy (minecraftgeek5):

Discuss the primary differences between how plants and animals deal with any TWO of the following three characteristics of life: •cell structure. •metabolism. •reproduction. I know what I can say about reproduction but I need help on a second one

OpenStudy (minecraftgeek5):

@soprano.h.d0816

OpenStudy (minecraftgeek5):

I reallllllly neeeeeeeeeed helllllllllllllllllp

OpenStudy (minecraftgeek5):

@AloneS @likeabossssssss @onnyyy12 @rebeccaxhawaii @Red_devil822 @XxStudyingStuffxX could anyone help?

OpenStudy (ericaellis2016):

cell structure would be the second easiest one to choose

OpenStudy (ericaellis2016):

you really just have to explain the differences between plant and animal cells

OpenStudy (minecraftgeek5):

Ughhhh that's too hard lol this is the last question on my biology exam and I'm burnt out

OpenStudy (ericaellis2016):

lol well I can help with that, there are actually very few differences so it won't be too hard

OpenStudy (minecraftgeek5):

lol I'm tired.... XD I don't like biology XD

OpenStudy (ericaellis2016):

I just took my AP Bio exam yesterday so all of this kinda stuff is pretty fresh in my mind lol

OpenStudy (minecraftgeek5):

ok.... XD

OpenStudy (ericaellis2016):

alright so do you want me to just give you a list of differences? there is only like 3 or 4

OpenStudy (minecraftgeek5):

sure it might kickstart my memory ^_^

OpenStudy (ericaellis2016):

alright so the following are in animal cells but NOT plant cells: lysosomes, centrioles, and flagella

OpenStudy (ericaellis2016):

These are in plant cells but NOT animal cells: chloroplasts, central vacuole, cell wall, and plasmodesmata

OpenStudy (minecraftgeek5):

Thx! that helped a lot! I might come 2 u for help on biology questions more often! Oh wait no I wont after this I'm finished with biology XD but I might still come to you 4 help on other types of questions XD

OpenStudy (ericaellis2016):

For similarities you can go on to discuss the organelles also

OpenStudy (ericaellis2016):

Feel free to ask whenever! I'm almost always on here! Especially with science or history. Those are my strongest subjects.

OpenStudy (velumani):

If it's metabolism, it's quite an easy one.. Energy is the driving principle of life. Plants and animals derive the energy required for their growth, development and reproduction in quite distinct ways... Plants are autotrophic while animals are heterotrophic. Why so..?! Plants are sedentary in nature and this spatial constraint on which they stand has pushed them to harness energy from sunlight and lock it up by converting raw materials that flow freely in the environment into energy-rich products (Glucose!) . Animals, being motile, could gather substances with locked-up energy! Plants and animal cellular structure and metabolic pathways are guided by this metabolic capability.. and so on...
