Ratio: The relationship between two sets of things that shows by how much one is bigger than the other

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Good of you to look up that term, "ratio." suppose you were comparing two cereal boxes. Suppose one were tall but skinny, and the other were a perfect cube in shape. Supposing, last, that their volumes were the same. Which box would have the greater surface area? If you're the person who makes those boxes and want to make the one that requires less material, which one would it be?

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

Okay. wouldn't it be the first cereal box, the tall and skinny?

OpenStudy (miss.rose):

Actually I believe they require the same amount of material. Is that correct?
