Could someone please help me I don't understand at all. Problem below
@Atrineas
I only know that \[(-\infty,\infty)\] is A
...
wouldn't B be something like this? \[[1,\infty)?\]
First off, what type of graph is this?
yeah, A and B are correct. For C and D just look if the line crosses the x or y axis anywhere. It says to use the graph visually so I guess just take the given x values and find the y value
@legomyego180 I'm not sure what graph this is
f(x)=|x+2|+1
Its the graph of an absolute value, which means that this is a piecewise function.
Sorry, I was making this more complicated than it needed to be. Nvm.
Okay I got every other one but D how would I find D? @legomyego180
And E?
What are the values of y where x=-4 and x=-2?
Er x=2
Yes B would be \[[\infty ,1)\] D would be (0,3) because the line passes through the Y axis there C would be none because the line doesn't pass through the x axis at any point E would be F(-4)=3 and F(2)=5 because f(x)=the value of Y when x is -4 or 2
D isn't right
