OpenStudy (lexiquesse):

f(x)=x^2-16 g(x)=x+4 what is f/g and the domain? if im right, x^2-16 = ((x+4)(x-4))/x+4. x+4 cancels out and leaves you with (x-4)

OpenStudy (lexiquesse):

i will give you a medal

satellite73 (satellite73):

you are right

satellite73 (satellite73):

although you still have to specify the "domain"

OpenStudy (lexiquesse):

the chat thing keeps covering the post button how to i make it stop!!!!!

OpenStudy (lexiquesse):

and im not sure a question i had earlier the domain was -infinity to infinity

OpenStudy (lexiquesse):

its not restricted by any value of x

satellite73 (satellite73):

yes it is

satellite73 (satellite73):

you started with \[\frac{x^2-16}{x+4}\] you cannot divide by 0 so solve \(x+4=0\) for \(x\) and then say "all real number except..."

OpenStudy (lexiquesse):

except what?

OpenStudy (lexiquesse):

-4?

satellite73 (satellite73):

right

OpenStudy (lexiquesse):

thanks
