OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

does anyoen know if im correct at all in my answer here?

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

np ≥ 5 and n(1-p) ≥ 5 is this right?

OpenStudy (openstudier013087):

Don't you also have to say random sample and independence?

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

i dont know

OpenStudy (openstudier013087):

I'm also pretty sure its 10 not 5

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

yeah it is 10, but its this np ≥ 10 and n(1-p) ≥ 10 but i dont know what else

OpenStudy (openstudier013087):

It needs to also be approximately normally distributed.

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

show me what you mean please

OpenStudy (openstudier013087):

In order to be thorough, you should say that in order to see if the sample distribution is approximately distributed you need to fulfill the conditions of the np equation thing you just said

OpenStudy (openstudier013087):

What I'm not sure about is whether you need to state whether the distribution is independent in that the sample size is less than 10% of the population

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

would you suggest i say it aswell just to be safe

OpenStudy (openstudier013087):

Yes
