OpenStudy (astrophysics):

How did you get 2?

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Maybe first isolate 1/x on its own, so subtract 3/4 on both sides and add 1/x which is \[\frac{ 1 }{ x } = \frac{ 7 }{ 8 }-\frac{ 3 }{ 4 }\]

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Then what is 7/8-3/4?
