OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

anyone in physical science? if so have you done the Virtual Lab: Building Electrical Circuits and could help me with it.

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

I can help :D

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

are you in physical science

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

Did It last year

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

You still there?

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

do you remember what some of the observations were

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

Yea I can help you

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

i dont see anything different when adding more light bulbs like everything looks the same to me

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

@MissHollywood

OpenStudy (seaseasea):

I've done it just yesterday.

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

Theres is a difference it depends on what kind of circut you are using wether its a series circuit of a Parallel Circuit

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

it a series circuit.@SeaSeaSea its not that i dont understand its i dont see a difference and im redoing the portfolio because i got a 0 on it

OpenStudy (seaseasea):

Also, you're posting in the Math section. :x

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

yes i know

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

In a series circuit, the current through each of the components is the same, and the voltage across the circuit is the sum of the voltages across each component. In a parallel circuit, the voltage across each of the components is the same, and the total current is the sum of the currents through each component.

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

Thats an exsample of a Series Circiut

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

hold on just one sec and i will show you the circuit ive been told to make

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

ok

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

hold just a few more seconds

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

Is that a series Cuicut?

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

yes

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

Yeah it Is nvm ok so gimme a sec

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

Ok so excatly is the Question again?

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

What is the impact of adding more light bulbs in series?

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

@MissHollywood

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

he current through each of the components is the same,Therefor Nothing is the Impact

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

i have few more could you help answer them

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

Yeah sure of Course

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

how does changing the voltage in a circuit affect the current in the circuit? i think the higher the voltage the brighter the light will get

OpenStudy (seaseasea):

What is the impact of adding more light bulbs in series? Adding more lightbulbs would make the others and the ones you've added less brighter then it was before.

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

No thats in a paralell cuciut

OpenStudy (seaseasea):

Test it.

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

Theres a differece In a series circuit, the current through each of the components is the same, and the voltage across the circuit is the sum of the voltages across each component. In a parallel circuit, the voltage across each of the components is the same, and the total current is the sum of the currents through each component.

OpenStudy (seaseasea):

Let me show you an example of a parallel and series circuit.

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

The answer to your second question again depends on what kind of curciut it is

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

its the same one

OpenStudy (seaseasea):

This would be a series circuit.

OpenStudy (seaseasea):

Parallel circuit

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

The lights would say the Same .

OpenStudy (seaseasea):

Notice that in the second screenshot, all the lights are pretty bright While in the first they seem a bit darker.

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

The Lights stay the Same mate

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

it that to my question @MissHollywood

OpenStudy (misshollywood):

Yes

OpenStudy (seaseasea):

Nah, take another look.

OpenStudy (seaseasea):

Before and after. Before adding more lightbulbs it was bright, adding more lightbulbs caused it to get darker and darker.

OpenStudy (stuck-help-2):

In the series circuit what characteristic was common throughout the experiment? What changed as you added more light bulbs? @MissHollywood
