In "Nothing Gold Can Stay," why does Robert Frost allude to Eden?

OpenStudy (beepbeepimajeep):

"Eden" is a place in the bible where Adam and Eve lived, it was a place of perfection and beauty that was soon taken away from them

OpenStudy (beepbeepimajeep):

"Eden" would be the gold, and "nothing gold can stay" it not staying would be a reference to Eden being taken away
