2 questions I need checked, urgent! Medal and fan(: What is the approximate distance between the points (5, -6, 5) and (-4, 5, -3)? 28

OpenStudy (dopeeaf):

for question 2

OpenStudy (retireed):

How di yo get 28 for the first question?

OpenStudy (dopeeaf):

I sort of guessed it

OpenStudy (retireed):

Well you need to try and calculate it using the Pythagorean Theorem for three axis. D = sqrt [ (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2 + (z2-z1)^2]

OpenStudy (dopeeaf):

so would it be 18?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

hint: for question #2, we can apply the theorem of tangent and secant line of a circle. So we can write the subsequent proportion: \[x:10 = 10:\left( {x + 15} \right)\] where \(x=AB\)
