OpenStudy (rayep12):

What is 3x+4y+32=1

OpenStudy (rayep12):

just need the answer

OpenStudy (errinss):

we cant give just the answer we have to explain it and make you understand it...

OpenStudy (rayep12):

yeah i know that

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

In order to get an answer, you need a second equation.

OpenStudy (errinss):

ya what wolf said too..

OpenStudy (rayep12):

let me look

OpenStudy (rayep12):

oh here

OpenStudy (rayep12):

11x + 11y 4(2x + 1y) = 60

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Is that 2nd equation correct?

OpenStudy (rayep12):

yeah

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

That second equation is a quadratic and I don't know how to solve simultaneous equations when 1 is a quadratic,

OpenStudy (rayep12):

really?

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

yes, really. That's why I'm wondering about the second equation.

OpenStudy (rayep12):

@nincompoop @jigglypuff314 @jtug6 @mathmate

OpenStudy (mathmate):

So you have 3x+4y+32=1 11x + 11y 4(2x + 1y) = 60 In the second equation, can you check if there is a plus or minus sign between 11y and 4 ? In fact, the best way is to post an image of the question.

OpenStudy (mathmate):

or is it \(11y^4(2x+1y)\) ? Something tells me that there is something wrong with the equation. We don't write 1y, we just write y. I think I want to see the image before we start.

OpenStudy (mathmate):

@rayep12 are you still there?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Oh well, tag me when you're free. @rayep12

OpenStudy (rayep12):

here

OpenStudy (rayep12):

@mathmate

OpenStudy (rayep12):

11x + 11y + 4(2x + 1y) =60

OpenStudy (rayep12):

@Mertsj

OpenStudy (rayep12):

@nincompoop @Preetha @pooja195

OpenStudy (mertsj):

You asked: "What is 3x+4y+32=1". The answer is: It is a linear equation.

OpenStudy (rayep12):

thanks

OpenStudy (mertsj):

You're welcome.
