OpenStudy (donnie1999):

HELP PLEASE WILL MEDAL!!! 4x^2 − 8x + 8 − x2 + 2x − 4 − 3x^2 + ? =4

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

What do you need to do, simplify the expression?

OpenStudy (donnie1999):

4x^2 − 8x + 8 − x^ 2 + 2x − 4 − 3x^2 + ? = 4

OpenStudy (donnie1999):

@mathstudent55 no I need to find the missing term

OpenStudy (karim728):

First combine like term

OpenStudy (donnie1999):

I simplified the equation and got -6x+4

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

There are 3 terms with x^2. Combine them on the left side. There are two terms with x. Combine them on the left side. There are two numbers on the left side. Combine them. Then see what there is.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Correct. The right side has 4 alone. The left side is -6x + 4, so what is missing in the left side is a term that will eliminate -6x. What do you add to -6x to get 0?

OpenStudy (karim728):

it will be easier to rewrite it as |dw:1465479275948:dw|
