Always -1
OpenStudy (agent0smith):
It isn't. Show your work though

OpenStudy (jh99):
Shouldn't it be -1?
zarkam21 (zarkam21):
Ohhh yeah negative because perpendicular lines are always negative reciprocals right?
OpenStudy (jh99):
If it is perpendicular, it is the NEGATIVE reciprocals!
OpenStudy (greenbannanabob):
Yeah, if you think about it a number times the opposite reciprocal would be -1.
\[x \times(-1/x)=-x/x=-1\]
zarkam21 (zarkam21):
The lines below are perpendicular. If the green line has a slope of \[-\frac{ 2 }{ 3 }\] what is the slope of the other line

What about this ,, this would be -3/2? or just 3-2
OpenStudy (agent0smith):
What is the negative reciprocal of that slope?
OpenStudy (greenbannanabob):
you have to flip the sign and the fraction
zarkam21 (zarkam21):
so just 3/2
OpenStudy (greenbannanabob):
Yeah
