Please help!!! I need help ASAP!!! I will give medal and award to who ever knows the answer to this question: Which narrative point of view is used in this excerpt from “The Lily’s Quest” by Nathaniel Hawthorne? So one breezy and cloudless afternoon Adam Forrester and Lilias Fay set out upon a ramble over the wide estate which they were to possess together, seeking a proper site for their temple of happiness. They were themselves a fair and happy spectacle, fit priest and priestess for such a shrine, although, making poetry of the pretty name of Lilias, Adam Forrester was wont to call her

OpenStudy (maralb):

A.) first person B.) second person C.) third-person omniscient D.) third-person limited

OpenStudy (data_lg2):

Let's do elimination: When you use first person, you are inside the character. Pronoun: "I" Second person: "you" You can eliminated these first two choices, because the passage is obiviously not in first/second person pov. Now, the hard part to understand: Third person limited is when you are only limited to one person's thoughts. Third person omniscent is when you can refer to different characters in a story. So which one do you think is the right answer?

OpenStudy (maralb):

Is it third person limited? @Data_Lg2

OpenStudy (data_lg2):

are you focusing on one person only or it refers to two or more characters in the story?

OpenStudy (maralb):

Its two characters, but they only talk about the guy, not much about the girl. @Data_Lg2

OpenStudy (data_lg2):

"they" is often used in the passage. If the pronouns used is he/she then it will be limited.

OpenStudy (maralb):

oh, okay! thanks!! @Data_Lg2 Can you help me with another question too?

OpenStudy (data_lg2):

I can try :)
