Pros and cons....
::Warning:: This post is only meant for new users or an argumentative. Rather you agree or not, the outcome will be the same. If you feel offended by this, understand that I'm not trying to offend ANYONE. ::Pros:: OpenStudy is a great website for those who want to know how to do their homework, discover what the answer is on their own, and understand why the answer may be wrong. The peoples in OpenStudy are excellent in helping you on your homework. To explain why that certain subject is or aren't. Most will give you step-by-step in hoping you will get your desire answer. Some will just explain in one paragraph or a few sentences before giving you the actual answer. The sites appearance is simple enough for your to understand where things are (Even if you ask for help) in a couple of days to get use to. OpenStudy is great for making friends or helping boost your social interaction and courage. Rules here are less strict. ::Cons:: The peoples on OpenStudy are helpful in most cases, but there's times when it's bullies, spam, or any kind of format that are not helpful. There're even times when they will give out striaght answers without explaining why (Which is a no-no) I'm going to explain the two different types of straight answers, because there still allot of user here who don't seem to get it. (The no-no answer) Anything that's related to school, you should not give straight answers. Example: Find the x intercept of the line 3x+8y=11, and bang your type the answer and post it without explaining why its the answer. (The okay-straight answer) Anything thats not related to school is fine to answer straight forward. Example: I'm new here, can anyone tell me how OpenStudy works and how to find the settings? You CAN answer him/she straight forward and guide this person on how to find the settings. If you actually can't, than how the fudge are you supposed to do it without giving the answer? OpenStudy doesn't allow you to delete your account unless you send them an email. Now I'm not sure if this actually happen but people here might falsely report you. It could be because you gotten an argument with them or you said something mean to them. ::On Another Note:: I'll say this again. Don't take this as an offence, insulted, or anything bad. Take this as it is. Reply if you agree or not. The outcome will be the same.
Ignore the grammar, I forgot to recheck it for any kind of mistake.
I kind of agree with you but if a person is new or not and they give a direct answer just give them the code of conduct and move on and if they keep on giving direct answers report them and the mods will give them a warning.
Getting falsely reported is alright as the moderator will not issue false warnings/suspensions :P
