OpenStudy (shaadic):

What form does the radiation that is used to treat cancer take? A) alpha particles B) photons C) beta particles D) neutrons

OpenStudy (ciarán95):

I believe that high energy, low ionising gamma radiation is used to treat cancer. Gamma radiation essentially involves the release of energy from the nucleus of an unstable (radioactive) atom in the form of photons of light (bundles of energy). So, B appears to be the correct answer here. Hope that helps @shaadiC !! :)

OpenStudy (geobit):

non of the above but the answer is Gamma rays
