OpenStudy (-welp-):

How do I find the domain and range?

OpenStudy (-welp-):

\[y=\sqrt{x+2}\]

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

To find domain, the value under the square root must be non-negative

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

so find the interval in which square root value is non negative ?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

range is the lowest output value (y) to the highest output value

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

to find range, just plug domain into the function

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

The lowest number under the radical sign needs to be zero because, as @mayankdevnani said, the the number under the square root is "non-negative". Therefore, solve for x in \(x + 2 = 0\) to get the lowest appropriate domain.
