jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

use this for example log5(6) log3(6) = ------- log5(3) hope helped in your exercise case too

OpenStudy (-welp-):

@jhonyy9 I know where they got 2.810 from. What I don't understand is where they got 21.903 from.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

thanx, but please do not spam other peoples posts with nonrelevant content.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

base 3 both sides ... x= 3^n

OpenStudy (amistre64):

21.903 is just 3^(2.810)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im not sure how change of base formula would have worked for this. seems to me all they did was: log_5(92) = log_3 (x) 2.810 = log_3 (x) x=3^(2.810)
