OpenStudy (mrjackdzi):

wait till someone answers.

OpenStudy (acespeedfighter):

k :D thx

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Let s = extra number of students we already have 3 students. If we add on 's' more, then we get to 3+s = s+3 students The van can only transport 7 students. If we want more than 1 van to be taken, then there has to be more than 7 students going. So 8 or more. So either s+3 >= 8 or s+3 > 7 Let's solve each for 's' s+3 >= 8 s+3-3 >= 8-3 ... subtract 3 from both sides s >= 5 Tell me what you get when you solve s+3 > 7 for 's'

OpenStudy (acespeedfighter):

hmm

OpenStudy (acespeedfighter):

so i think its B

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Tell me what you get when you solve s+3 > 7 for 's'

OpenStudy (acespeedfighter):

hmmm

OpenStudy (mrjackdzi):

ohhhh white dot means don't count this space

OpenStudy (acespeedfighter):

wait what does it mean?

OpenStudy (mrjackdzi):

might be easier now

OpenStudy (mrjackdzi):

so you don't count that dot

OpenStudy (mrjackdzi):

so everything greater than the white dot

OpenStudy (acespeedfighter):

Wait i still dont get it wats the answer ;-;

OpenStudy (mrjackdzi):

so say, if the dot is on 10 and going right, it means count 11 and up

OpenStudy (mrjackdzi):

yes exactly @jim_thompson5910

OpenStudy (acespeedfighter):

@mrjackdzi wat is it ;-;

OpenStudy (mrjackdzi):
