hey guys i need geometry help
i need this asap
We're going to have to use trigonmetry! I'm sure they teach you the basics of trig in geometry :) So, they gave you an angle, and the side opposite it. They want to know the hypotenuse. Which trignometric function uses the opposite side and hypotenuse? :)
@TheSmartOne answer?
\[\sin\theta = \frac{\text{opposite side}}{\text{hypotenuse}}\\ \text{hypotenuse} = \frac{\text{opposite side}}{\sin\theta}\] \[\text{hypotenuse} = \frac{4\ \text m}{\sin(40°)}\]
Hey hac, welcome to OpenStudy! On OpenStudy, we don't provide answers. We help students with their questions by giving them hints and teaching them concepts so they can learn (:
We provide help, not answers. We believe that answers aren't going to get you anywhere. When you start trignometry or pre-calculus or even calculus, you'll need a good foundation. If you just take answers now, you'll have more difficulty in higher level classes :) We take you through the question step-by-step and we encourage you to participate so you can learn (:
\[4 \csc (40 {}^{\circ})=6.22 \text{ meters} \]
