OpenStudy (asylum15):

How do you find the ''error'' section of an ANOVA table? |dw:1470341215181:dw|

OpenStudy (asylum15):

I'm doing a Q where I am testing statistical significance.

OpenStudy (asylum15):

- This is the Q

OpenStudy (asylum15):

Hi Agent :)

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I did this a while ago with a student of mine... but without his good notes, I don't remember enough of it. I only vaguely remember the formulas, sorry.

OpenStudy (asylum15):

I've basically got something like this: |dw:1470342574041:dw|

OpenStudy (asylum15):

I just can't remember how to calculate the TOTAL. The way my lecturer has it in the notes, he gets the Total by: ''Calculating S1, S^2, then multiplying the df x s^2'' This gives him the Total, and he uses this to workout the Within Errors...

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Ohh yeah SS between and SS within, good times :D but yeah... sorry, the kid i tutored had an awesome book, with everything laid out clearly, step by step. It was so easy to follow.

OpenStudy (asylum15):

No problem. :)

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I remember it being pretty long-winded. Not difficult, but long, just a lot of steps to follow.
