OpenStudy (rockthered1776):

graph y=-5|x|

OpenStudy (tomatotsundere):

Okay, one moment!

OpenStudy (rockthered1776):

appreciate it! @TomatoTsundere

OpenStudy (tomatotsundere):

Okay, sorry for the wait So, X will equal 0, so if So, y = -5 x 0, you get 0

OpenStudy (rockthered1776):

so how would i graph this? @TomatoTsundere

OpenStudy (tomatotsundere):

So, your points would be 0, 0 BUT, doing it with 1, you would get a much better result -5 times 1 is -5, so your coordinates are now 1,-5

OpenStudy (tomatotsundere):

I made you a graph

OpenStudy (tomatotsundere):

I know its hard, but dont overthink coordinates, they are super easy if you dont!

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

As Tomato showed, just plug in some points. Should look like this https://www.google.com/search?q=y+%3D+-5*+ABS(x)&oq=y+%3D+-5*+ABS(x)&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i64.7728j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

OpenStudy (rockthered1776):

so basically I would put my first point at -5,0 and then from there Id plot 2 rays as you showed in the link? @agent0smith

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

You need to plot at least three. (0, 0) and two others, say (1, -5) and (-1, -5)

OpenStudy (tomatotsundere):

I know its hard, but dont overthink coordinates, they are super easy if you dont!
