OpenStudy (mathmale):

The most basic function for the nth term of a general arith. sequence is l = a + (n-1)d, where l= last term, a= first term, n= numer of terms, and d=spacing between terms, or the jump from one term to the next. Adapt this formula to the given problem, please.

OpenStudy (olivya999):

so it would be B? @mathmale

Now that you have made a tentative choice, you need to check your answer by trying it out. If you let a=-3, does your formula correctly predict that your second term is -5? If not, then check out the other possibilities.
