OpenStudy (shealyn):

Find the slope between points (4, 6) and (-2, 6)

OpenStudy (antoniob):

Use the slope formula y2-y1 divided by x2-x1

OpenStudy (jtug6):

Apply the slope formula. (y2 - y1)/(x2-x1) where (x2, y2) and (x1, y1) are the points given. Either order will give you the same solution ^^

satellite73 (satellite73):

don't do any of that

satellite73 (satellite73):

you see the two second coordinates?

OpenStudy (shealyn):

yes

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I'd suggest you start over. Your slope formula, m = y2-y1 divided by x2-x1, should be in proper subscript form: \[m=\frac{ y _{2}-y _{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\]

You could also present this problem by drawing it, in the Draw utility (below):|dw:1471141418829:dw|
